Dan Gordon is the creation of Haggai Carmon, who in addition to heading up the international law firm Carmon & Carmon/GLOBALAW, is the mastermind behind the Dan Gordon thriller series.

Haggai Carmon’s books are inspired by the two decades he spent deep in undercover work. Carmon, working for the U.S. Department of Justice and other U.S. government agencies, was wholly responsible for gathering all international intelligence in complex, multi-million dollar, white-collar money laundering and mega fraud cases. His work took him to over thirty countries around the world.

The Dan Gordon thrillers trace the collaborative work of the CIA and MOSSAD, and protagonist Dan Gordon, a Mossad veteran now working for the U.S. Department of Justice in foreign intelligence gathering, discovers that the seemingly routine cases he is handling are often espionage or terrorist related.

In 1985, the U.S. Justice Department started retaining Haggai Carmon as its attorney to represent the government’s interests in its Israeli civil litigation matters, a task he continues to perform. Carmon is also the legal counsel to the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, and in 2007, he successfully represented the European Union in civil litigation cases in Israel. He also represents business entities with transnational interests.

Although the thrillers are fiction, their authenticity is unparalleled, a fact attested to by the identity and words of the individuals who wrote the books’ introductions.
